The documents section for a constituent profile allows you to upload and manage files related to the constituent. These can be letters, photos, or even general correspondence.
There is not restriction on the number of files you can upload to a constituent record, nor any restriction on the file type. So whether it's an image, audio file, MS office file, you can upload it to CivicTrack.
Layout
The entire list of documents for a constituent will be displayed, where you can scroll through and click a document to view it. The top section has a search text box where you can search based on the document name. Each of the columns can be sorted alphabetically or numerically by clicking the heading.
Buttons

Refresh | Clicking this button will reset the list of documents and clear any filters or sorting that may have been applied. | |
Upload | Clicking this button will allow you to upload one file into the constituent record. | |
Download | Clicking this button after selecting documents with the checkboxes will download the files into a zip file. | |
Rename | Clicking this button after selecting a document will allow you to rename a document | |
Delete | Clicking this button after selecting one or more documents will delete it from the constituent record |
Uploading Documents
You can upload documents by dragging files from your computer into the highlighted area in CivicTrack’s Documents page.
Once you drop them in, you have the option to pick which folder it should appear in, as well as renaming the file.
You can also choose to upload one document by clicking the upload button.
All you need to do is click Choose File, select the file from your computer, select a Folder and click Upload.
Viewing Documents
Viewing documents is as simple as click them in the list. Files like PDF, Word, Excel, and Images. The resulting file will load in the right-hand side of the page.
Editing Documents
PDFs, Word, and Excel documents can be edited in CivicTrack. Word and Excel can be edited right away upon clicking them, just be sure to click the save button to save the changes down.
PDFs can be edited by toggling the purple view switch.
Download Documents
Documents can be downloaded by selecting them with the checkbox and clicking the download button.
Versions
Any saved changes made to a document in CivicTrack is kept track in the More details part of a document
You’ll have the ability to look through each version created, and also restoring one to the default view.
