Duplicates are almost inevitable in any database you use. CivicTrack aims to reduce this, by using our duplicate detection system. Any time you attempt to add a constituent/contact record, the system will check for other records with the same first and last name combination.


If it finds a potential duplicate record, it will present you with this message:



View records

This will direct you to the search results page, displaying all potential duplicate records in the system. This allows you the change to review the list, and determine if you should proceed with creating the record.


Save and continue

This will proceed to create the record based on the information you entered.


Cancel

This will close the pop-up message, and allow you the change to review the information you entered.
